"Top Cat Begins" is the first film in which I was honored to be invited as a Character Designer. I was in charge from the general concept (for main characters and secondary ones) up to the extras characters, those who appeared just a few seconds on the screen.

For this project, Warner Bros set a total change of style in relation to the previously produced film: something more classic, taking back the essence of the original series. So, I made a scrutinity of all Hannah Barbera series in order to identify and project the characteristic features of the company. This work was also applied to the extras characters, they were designed independently and with distinctive features. The total amount was 167 characters, including primary & secondary & extras, for which also worked in turn arounds and 3D models corrections.
 

In the original script, the villain was raised as a human and was my idea (after analyzing the characteristic features and environment of the character) to design and incorporate him into the film as a crocodile.

On my own initiative, I included several "easter eggs", ergo, references to Hannah Barbera series as a tribute and/or winks to fans. This can be seen in the film, both as inside the movie as well as in extras.

The dynamics of production also implied an active communication with remote teams (in India), with whom I worked on the visual adaptation of characters turned to 3D models and their corrections.

Also, I was involved in the realization of textures for scenarios, including: posters, billboards, paintings, street signs and objects in general. "
